Good morning Jim, Ken, Don, Rick and all Vermont truckers and Vermonter wannabees. It's FRIDAY. Hope you have a great day - the forecast here for today and the weekend is a good one.
Unfortunately I have a board retreat Saturday afternoon so I won't be out playing with my new toys much this weekend. Really want to get the toyhauler hooked up and to the scales for a weight check; also need to get it inspected. I have gotten most of the loose rust off and sprayed it down with Fluidfilm. Want to go over the brakes with my local dealer and have him give it a good going over for any other issues but camping is calling to me and I really want to practice towing that big rig.
Good morning Shawn. You talking about getting rust off the camper? Which RV dealer do you go to.
Its raining here now
Yes, it's a 2007 so there is some surface rust on the frame - nothing serious structurally but I'm trying to stop it now before it becomes an issue.
M's RV is only three miles from our house and I like Marcel. He sold this unit to the PO and has done the maintenance on it so I like staying with him. He knows the rig, he's local and he's independent. Marcel and Joanne are good people who got wiped out by the floods but have bounced back and I like keeping my business local.
I know them. Go there some myself. Really used to like it when they had the skidoo dealership. Selling sleds is a tough business.
Snow machines in VT is a really tough business. You need to keep inventory and then hope it snows so people will buy. Lately, snow has been so hit or miss I expect a lot of the snow machine dealers have really had a tough time.
Plus lower population density and factor in brand loyalty and that really cuts down on your customer base. And the manufacturers are very hard to deal with

It's been that way for a couple years in ILLINOIS now. We used to get good regular dumps of snow every winter, but like you said it is hit or miss nowadays
Good afternoon Clint. Rick doesn't mind the lack of snow
I know Jim, he is a snow hater. Perhaps he needs to add the title "AVID WINTER HATER" to his signature. He has a Snow Plow Prep package on his truck but no plow!!! lol
