I bought a B&M mega shifter in the hopes that the installation on my 1993 F 350, 7.3 IDI will not be that hard. This transmission changes gears via a cable. Has anyone tried this on an E4OD transmission? Any advice would be appreciated, Thanks, Tom.
I'm not saying it can or cannot be done... Also I'm not trying to be a wet blanket on your project, but I have a few questions ...............
Why?
What would be the advantage of something else in the floor?
Is your column shifter completely destroyed?
If so, are there not hundreds if not thousands of them just waiting in salvage yards?
Why would this be better than a column shift? After all you just put it into gear and it stays there more or less until you need to change direction or stop....
Wheni get stuck i want to rock the truck forward and back with more ease than a column shifter
