Well I needed to get the truck's line-x installed and didn't have a ride so I worked it out that I could just leave my trailer there. I used tow haul mode and it definitely changes the programming in the trans using the engine to slow it down and keeping the revs in the power band when needed. In my opinion, the truck looked great with the car on the trailer as well.
Got it all put on but the ramps and had to take a pic before loosing light
Crappy photo but my view from work today, it was hard not to stare!
Overall I am happy with the truck, the mileage didn't seem to be too bad hooked to the trailer, but I will report when I pick the truck up and see what it looks like. I will also continue my review when I have more time...
Oh so far my favorite thing is the fact that I could actually park it in the garage all hooked up with the gmc, Lincoln mark viii and crown Vic parked in there as well. The super duty didn't have a chance with all that in there.
I pulled basically the same load with my 5.0 right after I got it. 96 mustang gt on a car hauler. Pulled it from Baytown Texas to new braunfels. About 200 miles. I was very happy with the way it handled it and I think it averaged about 16.1 mpg at 75 mph. That trip is all highway on flat land until you get close to new braunfels.
