I recently posted that I needed a **** for a 67 Radio. A self proclaimed 67 guru notified me and said he would send me a pair of *****. When the package arrived I was because the ***** were for the 68-72
It seems that a lot of people are unaware of this difference. You would think that the same radio **** in 67 would have been used through 72 but they weren't. The 68 ***** were stamped with the C8***** number while the 67 had no stampings at all. Here's a couple of pictures, the longer one is the 67. I don't know if you can see the stamping but it's there.

I am pretty sure the ***** are another of the many one off parts specifically for the 67.

 

C7TZ-18817-A .. Radio ****-Outer = 1967 F100/750.

C8TZ-18817-B .. Radio ****-Outer = 1968/72 F100/750.

1967 dash is 1967 only. So is the radio, heater, ash tray, instrument cluster back, ignition switch and etc.

 

I know the parts that are 67 only. Merely pointing out that Radio *****, NOT just Radios, are 67 only.

 

I know that this is an old thread but I'm also looking for 1967 radio *****. Anyone have any?

 

Inner ***** were part number C7TZ18830A. None on my parts locators.
Outer ***** were C7TZ18817A and only ONE on my locators. NOS Parts at 972-937-2201. Try EBAY. Good Luck!

Oops! Sorry guys, I just realized how old the post was so I deleted my untimely comments. I have to learn to slow down and read more carefully.

 

This is what makes the 67's a pain in the rear.

 

I like some of the uniqueness (Is that a word?) of the 67's. What's a real pain is trying to find a stereo that fits in the stock radio opening without having to cut the dash. AFIK, the usual places like Retro Auto Sound only make them for the 68 & up trucks.
