OK I started the truck up this am and for the first time it started to misfire. It did 5 or 6 times before I got to it and depressed the throttle and brought the rpm's up to about 1500. I continued to warm it up a little while at 1500 rpm's then drove as normal. I didnt notice any further misfiring .
I do have a scangauge hooked up and noticed FMP voltage go down to 47.5 today for the first time.. Is this a good indication of FICM failure? Where should I send this FICM if it is the problem. There are no mods to this truck . I bought it used with 90000 mi and have about 120000 mi today with no problems. This truck is a much needed daily driver . What are my best options.
Thanks,Kevin
FICM voltage is fine at 47.5, it needs to be a minimum of 45 from KOEO, cranking, idling or WOT. Just keep an eye on it and if it continues to lose voltage send it off to Ed at www.ficmrepair.com. How old are the batteries? And what are the system volts after the glow plugs shut off?
I think the batteries might be an issue? The truck had been running for 5 or 6 minutes though so the glowplugs were done, but today I noticed battery voltage down to 11.5 after start up. The voltage goes right up to 13 to 14 when the glowplugs stop.

Doesn't sound like the batteries are an issue but if you're in doubt take them and have them load tested separately just to make sure. Sounds more like injector stiction to me. One other thing to remember is that you can still have a FICM failure even if the voltage is fine.
