Is there any ride difference with the x spring assuming that the x is the spring for plowing. I'm gonna do new springs I have the v's now. and i'm gonna plow.....
I'm going to assume you have the 5.4. Yes?
I resprung my 5.4 non plow prepped F-250 with the "W" coded fronts. I was told that they increase the load capacity by approx. 800 lbs. That just happened to be the weight of my Western blade and carriage. The front of the truck came UP about 1.5 inches. With the plow in the up posistion, The front sags to the "stock" ride height of the "V" springs. IMO the "X" springs would be overkill with the 5.4 unless your going with a 8.5 / 9 ft. V blade.
Originally posted by 99f350sd yes but hows the ride compared to my v springs or hows a SD with x's ride. I don't mind alittle stiff but compared to the v's.
A bit stiffer, ok like a rock, with the plow on it rides nice, without the plow, hit a bump and the truck changes lanes.
But it doesn't bother me, and now the swampers give me a little cusion.
