Finally
Started on my 53 F100! My back is feeling good enough to allow me spending time on her. Currently putting the 302 together while digging the truck out from all the junk tossed on and in her. As my accountant (da Mrs.) is helping with what I do and when I do it, she told me to get an actuall Ford tranny for her. I have been searching local yards and have a nephew doing the same, for an automatic overdrive transmission and no one seems to be able to help. While I can get on EBay to find one, I wanted to get one locally (support local buisness when possible), but keep getting "I don't know what will fit." Can anyone give me some guidence on what model vehicle to get a decent Ford overdrive tranny out of to fit a 1976 302? The ID number on the block states it came from a truck. Well, time to bolt the heads on and clean a bit more out of the truck.
