Buy diesel from only stations that turn over their fuel in high volumes.
Use an approved additive, such as Motorcraft PM-22-A.
Drive the truck, maintain it, purchase the Ford ESP warranty and don't waste time worrying about it.
The truck has a lot of power stock with a warranty.
There isn't a cheap tune option.
H&S tuning has a DPF on tuner now but it's not cheap.
My opinion, if you want to tune it, spend the money and do it correctly or be happy with what comes out of the factory.

500$ is the cheapest way that I know of to make more power.
