Help.!!

Got a 77 f.250 highboy, wiring in its all effed up. It has a wench in the bed with a pto shaft and box, shafts broke pulled it off gotta wait for the transfer case to pull the box off. But it makes a god awful noise in every gear but 4th, somebody said transmission but when you grab the pto clutch while driving it quits makin so much noise. So should I buy a new transmission or pull the pto box off.? I've driven it for weeks and there was nothing wrong with it, it just started doing it yesterday. And something's draining the battery to where it won't start can't figure out what's doing it. Any help.!?!

You're going to have to be a lot more specific than "the wiring is all effed up." What have you done so far to troubleshoot this problem?

My 4 yr old nieces could have done a better wiring job than the drunk that did it. And we don't know what's hooked up to what or what's plugged into what

And we've just been plugging things in one at a time and seeing what it makes work or what it makes not work

Let's take a step back.

None of this is any more specific than what you said the first time. If you cannot describe what you're working with, how can anyone on the internet understand what you're working with? Your first order of business needs to be a very clear assessment of what you're working with. The "here's my mess, everyone please figure it out" approach does not enable us to help you effectively. We're happy to help, but you have to help us help you.

What are "things"? What is "it" and what metrics are you using to establish when "it" "works" or does not "work"?

Please try again. What specifically is wrong with your truck's wiring, in what ways is it not inline with your expectations, and what specifically have you tried in the way of troubleshooting this problem? I understand you're having a battery drain issue, but if you can't describe to me what you're working with, what other issues exist and what you've tried so far, I can't pick a starting point to help you.

It's not the battery problem I'm worried about, it's getting all the wires ripped out and new ones put in this week, it's the transmission issue I'm having

Your first post clearly stated that you also wanted help understanding a battery drain issue. Now you are saying that's not the case. Good thing I spent all that time trying to understand what you were saying...

Someone else can likely address your transmission question.
