Yea that's a clean looking engine bay!! My crossmember does have a big cut out in it. But regardless ill run the remote filter. Make it easier to change in the future! Ill still run the genuine motorcraft heavy duty filter! Can someone tell me everything ill need to do the bronco gas tank swap?

On my 460 swap into my 351W based truck (stock crossmember), the factory 460 filter adapter would not work no matter the orientation with the filter on it. I too went with Derale for a remote kit, but found with the fittings and lines connected, I could not run lines comfortably enough for long term reliability without wearing/vibrating against the frame or each other. I decided to go with a Moroso 90* block mount adapter.

Well cut the frame this weekend haha. a professional welder is going to come weld it this week for me!
its plated on the inside to! we jacked it up and took all the weight off the wheels and leveled it. it went so smooth! I also changed the rear crossmember for the gas tank and put my 460 engine perches on. I also realized I had a 90s truck with a brand new gas tank and sendin unit. will that work on my carbed 460?

As lond as you are sure the parts store actually sells you the pre-72 chain set (crank sprocket is the difference). For my money, I would just buy an 88 up roller chain for an EFI engine, they are straight up like the early ones.
On the gas tank, the sender/pump opening is different between the early tanks (to the point the 85-86 EFI, 460 with hot fuel handling and mechanical pump models are all different. They changed filler necks in 87 (use the later one if you can) and gauge senders in 89. If you cut the tabs off the pump/gauge piece from an 86 with hot fuel, it will fit in a 1990 tank (I know because I did it for a short while).

I put the later one on mine even before I converted to EFI. I'm kind of partial to roller chains. The early (1985-89) EFI system uses a low pressure in-tank pump and a high pressure frame mounted pump. Starting in 1990, they use one or two high pressure in-tank pump modules. The gauges up through 1988 are 5 volt thermal type gauges, starting in 1989 Ford went to a balanced coil design, the senders are not interchangeable. You will need gauge sender(s) that match your dash gauges. The other change, the pump modules have the gauge screwed onto the side of the plastic reservoir. The older style are on a bracket attached to the metal lid that either carries the pump or just a pickup tube. Some mechanical pump tanks have a small opening for just the sender and pickup tube.
