361 engine timing spec needed
Just finished an ehgine rebuild on my '78 F600. In it's past life it was a 16' rental U-haul, and the valve covers have a tag on them that says '359 HD'. Which is essentially the same as a 361, I've been told. Well, the engine had apparntly been rebuilt at least once, if not twice before. It's all the way up to .060 over on pistons, and needed shorter pushrods after I got it back. (valves staying open)
Anyway, long story short, now it's back and running, and I'll be finishing it up this weekend.
In all the service manuals I have, it eludes to a sticker in the engine compartment for all the timing/tuneup specs....which is obviously long gone. Could anyone get me this info? Again, it's a '78 (or 64-78) F600, 359/361, manual trans, not california/ Very basic old motor.
Also, has anyone ever converted manual steering to power steering on one of these? what's involved? Is it worth the trouble?

I changed the title.
The engine gets timed "Not the truck"
