Squeeling/engine noise at start up
second dealer has replaced certain belts and sensors and what not saying that should take care of it. It didn't. Any ideas on waht to check or what it may be? Use to be just when it was cold or rainy the night b4, but now in beautiful weather too. They don't seem to have anymore clues as to what it may be...also if i may ask one more quicky, have a MAJOR thunk/rattle in drivers side seat belt high adjust. They can't find a thing...any ideas?
Thank you so very much!! HELP PLEASE!!!
Unless the technician thoroughly cleaned the pulleys when installing a new belt all you have done is transfer the contamination from the dirty pulley to the new belt.
What I have done is to remove the belt, take a wire brush to the pulleys and carefully clean them with lacquer thinner or alcohol. Having never successfully cleaned a serpentine belt, I would replace it. Make sure that your hands are clean when handling the belt - any transferred oil or grease and your noise could start all over again.
Hope this helps
Russ
