For those that have it did you have any problems with the truck pulling after you installed? I have read a few instances of this. Some have said more so with Nittos (which I have). Any truth to this? Checking before I get one.
I added a Bilstein 5100 Series Steering Damper, takes about five minutes to install. My stock damper was still working and I have stock 20s on the truck so I didn't notice much change. The truck does go through potholes better though.
I just ordered one. Thanks for the tip. I've had my truck in to the dealer twicw in the last month to get my OEM dampener replaced cuz it's junk, and both times have walked away without repaired. I'm PO'd at em so I'll just replace it me self.
Ordered mine on Friday and it has already shipped!!!!! Hadn't planned on replacing the OEM unit ( have not seen any issues) but the price is too good to pass up.
I received my stab early this week but I couldn't get the old stab off the truck. I aboused it as much as I could but no success. So off the the good old tool store (sears) and bought a gear puller. We see if that removes the stubborn sob.
One thing though, did you guys notice that the 5100 stab wasn't neutrally balanced? It acts like a pressurized shock. Hopfully it won't introduce steering.
Received mine this week but haven't had time to install. Tired of dealing with the dealer to replace the old one. It's just another piece of crap anyway.
Mine showed up last week and I used a cheap Harbour Freight Gear puller to get the old one off. It's the fastest way.
New one looks and works great. I notice no "induced" steering at all and get a bit more "feedback" from the road now.
Also installed new Bilstein 5100's last week. I do notice the rear end bouncing (rapid rate) now after going over the railroad tracks, etc. A little weight in the bed and I suspect even that will go away.
