I've been lurking for quite a bit now, and decided to join up The site is great and there is a mountain of info to read through, but what I'm struggling on is finding a guide price for a 2012/13 F350 6.7 lariat in or around Calgary or Edmonton, has anybody recently got a great deal, and if so where would you suggest I go?
I bought my 2013 Platinum F-350 from Lamb Ford out of Camrose. Ordered it December 28th and picked it up April 1st. I won't play with numbers, but out of everyone in Edmonton, they were willing to make the sale. That was the 3rd Superduty from them since 2007 too. A smaller dealer, but a great purchase experience. James was great to deal with.
thanks for the reply, I was wondering what I should be looking at paying for a new lariat, I have a had a quote for 53k for a 2013 Lariat 6.2l, but would ideally like a diesel.
Just for example, if there was a new one with a sticker price of 72k what would you offer them?
I tried to PM you but you need more posts. I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to land the 58-60 range depending on rebates or x-plan eligibility, although you can negotiate better.
What kind of weight do you move?
Put some consideration on the gearing.
You may not need the diesel but if you do tow heavy and often enough for the 6.2L, you may want the 4.30 over the 3.73.
I'm not sure the impact on milage between the two but if you end up unhappy with the performance, I think the 4.30 will be worth the few dollars lost in fuel.
I tow a travel trailer about 10-15 times a year max, it weighs around 7500 to 8000 max ( I think) so I know in my head the diesel is more than I need.
I tested a 6.2l with the 4.30 and it seems really nice as a daily driver/ tow vehicle .
If you're in Calgary, I'd suggest Metro Ford. The sales and service are really good, and they're a lot easier to deal with than the other Ford dealers in town. I think it's because they're independent, whereas several of the other dealerships are all owned and controlled by a single owner. Regardless, they were cheaper and it was way less hassle to get to the final number.
I went CC SB 6.2l Lariat with the 4.30 rear axle in Tuxedo Black with adobe interior, FX4, Ultimate package, fifth wheel prep, and a few shinny and rubber bits
That will be a nice looking workhorse. The long wait is worth it.

This is 2000silverbullet's 6.2L with the 4.30 and a 14,700 lbs dump trailer to give you an idea of what that engine can do until you can put your truck to work. FTE Meet June 2012 - 2000silverbullet - YouTube
