Wink Howdy from out west

Good afternoon all...my first time on this site. I am a HUGE ford baby At 18 I got my first ford, an 1969 ford truck full size. Gosh I loved her.

From International-1970- to my two now. An 1993 Arostar all wheel drive van. Yeah a van, but the places I've taken her Happy times!

A couple of weeks ago I traded my 1995 geo metro for a 1987 Full size Ford truck. A 351 engine, dual gas tanks, all power 4x4...and they had 'beat her' half to death so my boys (mechanics) are getting her road worthy for me.

She'll be my primary wood truck (I have a wood stove) as well as my play /camping truck.

I had been researching for the last month how I wanted to take her...trailer, etc. and I've decided on a truck tent. I have my eyes on two different ones to try out this summer.

I live in NV outside of Reno and it is VERY windy here 8-10 months out of the year, not to mention not many trees. Tent has to be able to hold up to the winds Then I want to head to the coast.

I may be an older female, but I'm not dead LOL Love to travel and can't wait to hit the roads again.

You all have a great weekend!

Welcome to FTE Greeneyez, I certainly see why you liked your 1969 Ford truck, I think that they are really neat and I`ve had afew of them too.
For more info on a truck tent try the folks in your local NV chapter too: Nevada Chapter - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums
