Thanks montecarlo31, I wrongly assumed that ford made 1st gear a little lower, stuck a gear in the middle to more evenly space them, and then add a really deep 6th gear like the .50 in my Viper. My dealer was able to find the same car with standard gears, but missing the remote start which I'll have the dealership add. there was exactly one car available fairly locally, and it also had the rear air suspension, so everything seems to have worked out for the best. I should pick it up Monday. Thanks all.

I picked up the XLT tonight. 203a, 2nd row captains chairs, and rear air suspension. Drives nice. I ordered a set of custom (winter) chrome 2009 f150 "Platinum". 20" wheels. Should take about 4 weeks to go through the chrome process and get delivered. I'll wrap them in a set of 275x60x20 Michelins, about .9ths taller than stock, but same section and tread width.

After a 125 mile trip, this one seems really sluggest compared to my 05. Accelerating from a stop, takes off ok, but then goes into linbo upon moderate acceleration. My 05 had a 3" cat back and off the shelf tune. Is the'13 throttle by wire? Pedal effort also seems excessive compared to the others I have, any remedy?
