56 color
Trying to restore my 56 f-100 to original color. It is obviously a yellow color.
I have two sources of possible yellow color but don't know which one is correct.
One states that the yellow color is called Goldenrod Yellow which was the same color that was used in the 53-56 trucks.
The other color is called Golden Glow Yellow which was just for the 56 trucks.
The Ditzler code is different for each of those colors....
ANyone have an idea which one is correct or are they so close that who cares? Thanks in advance, jim

My book shows no yellow listed for '53
Goldenrod Yellow - code V for '54 and '55
Goldenglow Yellow - code M for '56
That's from Cars and Parts Magazine's Catalog of Ford Truck ID Numbers 1946-1972
This source is generally accurate, but I wouldn't bet the farm on it.
