How does the oil cooler work?

Hi all. This isn't really a question because of a problem, I'm just curious how the oil cooler on a 7.3 Powerstroke works. From what I can tell, there are tubes in it that something flows through, but I don't know if it's oil or coolant that goes through those. Anybody know?

Both coolant and oil flow through it. Heat is exchanged from the oil to the coolant, and carried to the radiator and cooled by the air.
