Computer problem?

I have replaced o2 sensor, tps, and the egr is fine. My uncle is a good mechanic and he told me that he thinks it is either the wire that runs from the tps to the computer or the computer itself is fried from all the times I've tried to fix stuff myself lol. I guess I would follow the wire from the tps and make sure it's fine and go from there? As far as a new computer, once it's programmed for my truck I just hook it up and go?

What problem are you having that leads you to believe the TPS is causing an issue?

It would also help to know the year/model/engine/transmission your truck has.

Idk why I don't give any info. 92 f150 302 5 speed. The truck doesn't know where to idle. When I start the truck, the idle goes up and down and most of the time ends up shutting off. When I'm driving and shift gears the rpms shoot up and stay, usually at 3000 until let the clutch out. It runs horrible. My uncle has helped my try to diagnose the problem and went through the cheapest routes first. He came to the conclusion that its the wire from the tps or the computer

Sounds like classic Ford sticking IAC valve to me.

But yes as mentioned, you should retrieve the codes first.

Don't remember 100% but I think the left bank was lean. Egr is opening and closing properly. Also check for vacuum leaks. That's what led us to tps wiring or computer.
