any known trouble areas to look for.....
On an 06 F250 V10 6sp 4x4 crew cab, my kids are getting older so getting rid of the excursion and have been looking at 250's, I found a real clean 06 with 110xxx, everything looks copacetic and it drives and rides nice, it has a bully dog GT dohicky on it for keeping tabs on the engine, the owner says, and it also has a tuner from SCT by 5 star I believe...... Are there any major issues with the v10 and stick combo, or any other areas I should check.
thanx in advance for your input!

Have the plugs been changed? They tend to get stuck in the head and can break upon removal. Well known issue with tools and instructions for removal available.
Exhaust manifold studs can rust/rot off depending on if the truck sees corrosion filled roads.
Then just the usual brakes, u-joints, tires, and other wearable items.

Yeah I've read up on the plugs not sure if these have been changed, I normally do most of my own maintenance, but I have a very competent mechanic that has taken good care of my v10 excursion so he will prolly be doing the plugs for me lol, he did the manifolds on my ex for me...... I was most curious about the tranny and engine combo, I like the idea of the stick and hope it holds up..... Thank you for the responses so far.....

I'm sure the 6 speed manual is heavy duty enough for whatever you throw at it.
Yea I'll be getting someone else to do my plug change. I do nearly everything myself but that is a task I just don't even want to bother with knowing the issue. Rather find someone who has done a bunch and let them at it. Worth the money for the reduced possible headache.
