3.35 Axle ratio ?
Well the mystery is solved. The number that the guy at the yard showed me was not the correct number. I went ahead and bought the rear-end and got it home and pulled the tag off. Here is what was on the tag:
WDM-U 3BC
3.70 8.7 335A
So it looks like I lucked out with a 3.70 ratio. Anyone got any clue as to the rest of the numbers/letters?

The WDM-U isa code for bearing sizes
3BC looks weird there should be 2 numbers & 1 letter
meaning the date it was made
3.70 you know
the 8.7 is the size of the ring gear
335A is most likely the plant code
