E4OD swap to a 5 speed?
Has anyone ever swapped their E4OD for a 5 speed?I have a 92 F250 with a 460/e4od and would like to swap in a ZF 5 speed. I am aware of the obvious items I will need such as flywheel,clutch master and slave, and the pedals. My main concern is the computor. Will my truck still run with the same computor,or will I need a new computor and harness. Thanks for any input.

E4OD swap to a 5 speed?
It would work ok, but the Check Engine Light would always be on because of a tranny problem (it isn' there). It would be pretty simple to just change the EEC (computer) with the same as yours, just with the manual program. Check out http://www.car-parts.com you should be able to get one for around $50
