question on an engine swap
I am new to this forum as of today
I bought a 2000 super duty, with a blown motor! its a triton v10
I have oppurtunity to buy a running 1999 with a triton v10 with 140,000 miles on it...it runs well. but its passenger side is toast so i can only use it for parts . the 1999 has the extended cab but the 2000 has the shorter cab, I am wondering if ,theres any issues? I should be aware of? are they reletively exchangable as far as the engines and wiring harnesss,s go? Also the 2000 is a standard, and the 1999 is an automatic..I would like to keep the standard shift if possible ,as Id like to plow with this truck...any advice or input would be highly appreciate it ...
Thanks in advance..... Jim Marshall..
