They all make a few little weird air flow sounds while in regen.
Is it really quiet, or an actual loud hissing?
If it still makes good boost out of regen, I personally wouldn't worry about it. If anything was really wrong, you'd get a check engine light.

software version? well either way it is only happening during regen... i'm just mostly curious as to where it's hissing from... hopefully i'll get a regen before saturday and I can trace the hissing sound and let you guys know... it's funny cause to me it's perfectly normal whats it's doing, and i understand why it's doing whats it's doing... but the thing is, is that it's not normal at all... lol I still feel like it's supposed to be doing it though, just because of the way it's acting.. so maybe a older software version could be right. It's in early Job 2 though... I don't know.. we'll see.
-also, it's not extrememly loud, but if I have the window down, it's easily hear... window up, I can't hear the hissing...
well my exhaust will be in today, and I'm not sure what to do, I haven't had a regen yet to figure out what this hissing is caused by, so should I wait to install the exhaust or just go ahead and do it? I mean the hissing and boost thing is only during regen so it's not like it would really be a problem again, but I'm curious to where it's coming from to be honest...
Well.. The hissing was coming from around my turbo area... Couldn't pin point it exactly... And I got the new exhaust installed.. And man that stock down pipe was rediculous to cut out... And my buddy accidently cut into the transmission dipstick pipe... It's high enough where I think it's fine for now I wrapped it in electrical tape for now... Does anybody know if that's a hard replacement item?

Ya well it was just the tube for the dipstick for the transmission... 22$ part and I don't think it's too hard to replace.. But the truck seems to be running dang good with the exhaust on.. I like the 210 tune a lot but I don't like the transmission setting on it.. So I'm loading the 250 too see what happens.. I really thought I would still put my foot into it.. But I really don't need to cause here is so much more power... I might try the 310 if I keep up these good driving habits.. :-)Originally Posted by parkland

The 310 is a nice tune.
It shifts rather harsh, but then again, harsh shifting means the transmission clutch packs are engaging faster, means they should last longer at the expense of u-joint trashing.
The 310 reminds me of driving a half ton chevy with a 454 in it and a shift kit. It just makes the truck feel light it has so much power. It has a lot more power than a 454 though lol.

Parkland,
Well I went from 250 EL to late lock.. Both just really seem like they are shifting extremely rough.. The late lock wasnt as bad cause I remembered I have to train the transmission... But it still just seems to be shifty extremely rough.. Like I feel like my transmission hits a pot hole between some of the gears...
Senix,
I don't think it's my up pipe... It's not doing it that I can hear when out of regen.. It sounds like it was maybe coming from the turbo outlet to the charge pipe inlet... That area atleast.. I'm just stumped that I only heard it while in regen... But I'm deleted as of last night so I guess ill never know
