A/C Conversion Problems

So should I hook everything up except the dryer and compressor and then take it to the guy whose going to flush it for me?

Just take it to him apart , get him to flush . Then reassemble . Ask him to ck for restrictions in the high pressure side and low . The flush system I use allows me to flush each part of the system . That is how I would do it . IMHO

You do not want to risk contaminating anything, have the stuff flushed first.

OK, one more question coming out of the top of the compressor is these 2 fittings that are between the compressor and the lines. They look like Ts but one end has a part you screw in to shut off the refrigerant so you can replace the compressor. I don't know what the exact term is for them. And i need 2 new ones. The guys at oreillys are being difficult and saying they cant find them. And a call to ford was no help either. They got a set of numbers on them that says E3TH then below that 19A990 AA. Any ideas on where I can find these and what they are called?

Finally some good news, after spending some money and getting a few more gray hairs the a/c finally blows ice cold air. Thanks everyone for your help and guidance. It really made a difference.
