April's Fool Me Once, Twice, Won't Get Fooled Again

Yes it was. We were two tired and weary but also relaxed and refreshed travelers.
Tired, because we left Honolulu Saturday evening at 4:30 and flew nonstop to Atlanta landing at 7:00 Sunday morning, making it a red eye flight in the truest sense. (six time zones) We then flew to New Orleans and made the two hour drive home. Weary, because we vacationed full time while we were there. Relaxed, because we left the "drama" at home and never once mentioned any situation that would distract us from the beauty and enjoyment of the trip, and Refreshed, because even though we never discussed any situations, a clear mind has a way of looking ahead with a clearer vision.
I highly recommend the Norwegian Cruise Line 7 day "Pride of America" inter-island tour package. We rented a car twice and took bus tours twice giving us the best of two worlds. We had freedom with the cars, but still took advantage of the tour guide's information and knowledge with the tours.

We received a settlement on the car from State Farm.
They paid $9,600 and I took a $783 buyback for it.
The car had 55,192 miles on it.
As I have a '07 that is the same model and everything is interchangeable the buyback is a good investment.
Heck the wheels are the same style so the 4 wheels and tires are worth more than half of the buyback alone.
I finally got the adjuster out to the house on Wednesday at noon to look at the car.
They made us the settlement offer Thursday at 9am.
They were at the door with the check Friday (yesterday) at 9am.
Nada said the car was worth $9,125. They added the tax and title fee.

I'd like to have a zero turn. I just don't think it would work out with all the stump holes, ditches, roots, stobs, rocks, plants, trees, bushes, junk-piles, woodpiles and a few other obstacles that I don't think about till it hangs up on it. As it is, the little John Deere lawn tractor gets most of its workout doing leaf/pinestraw duty. Sucking it up, mulching & bagging. (Regular old mowing ain't so bad.)
Which is what I've been doing whenever the yard dries out for a day or two lately.
