But a sweet one! My logging buddy called today and told me he bought a 1966 Ranchero for the rebuilt 351 Cleveland, and wanted to know if I wanted to buy what's left. DONE DEAL! And for 800 bucks too!
Drove it home and will pull the engine/trans this week. The rig has been stripped of all paint and the body is in great shape for it's age. No real body damage, and almost no rust, and the floor pans have been replaced. Most of the small "dings" have been fixed already. I should be able to get it in primer in the next 30 days. Harley and I are STOKED!
We'll be putting a good heavy coat of primer on in the next week to protect everything that is down to bare metal, then pull the cop car engine and install it before we put the final color on. Both Harley and I are hot to get this one done. Then the 67 shortbed I've been building for the wife will be mine again!
