Your truck looks right at home on that farm road! I've driven Rte 36 several times in the last couple years on the way to Chicago area. It is one of my favorite roads! Marysville is one of my favorite towns, just down the road.

I love the pictures from your trip! I find few things in life better than a relaxing drive with good family, particularly to a place with a lot of meaning.

One thing I noticed in the picture of your rear axle is the u-bolts and associated hardware look very different than the setup on my F-2, undoubtedly changed out when the Dana 60 was installed. If you can get the F-2 parts you can put shock absorbers on the rear of your truck. Here is what the shock absorber setup looks like:

It does have shocks on the Dana 60, if you look closely to the pic.

I just found this thread. I think what you have done is amazing!

I love your truck and really enjoyed the pics of your Kansas trips.

I hope one day to follow in your footsteps and find a '65 F100 long bed 3 speed like my father drove for nearly 30 years. He bought it new in late '65 and sold it to a soldier stationed at Ft. Campbell, KY in around 1990. He maintained the truck himself and it never had any major problems.

Sorry for the slight hijack, but I really like what you have done. That pic of your folks driving the truck is priceless!

Did these in PVC board. Trying to get the truck ready for the Millstadt Homecoming Parade this weekend. Now the weather looks like it's going to rain....

That looks good. If you run her in the parade, be sure to take some pictures for us.

So how is the vinyl paint stuff holding up?
Any fade yet? Scratches, rips?
