I love the pictures from your trip! I find few things in life better than a relaxing drive with good family, particularly to a place with a lot of meaning.
One thing I noticed in the picture of your rear axle is the u-bolts and associated hardware look very different than the setup on my F-2, undoubtedly changed out when the Dana 60 was installed. If you can get the F-2 parts you can put shock absorbers on the rear of your truck. Here is what the shock absorber setup looks like:

I just found this thread. I think what you have done is amazing!
I love your truck and really enjoyed the pics of your Kansas trips.
I hope one day to follow in your footsteps and find a '65 F100 long bed 3 speed like my father drove for nearly 30 years. He bought it new in late '65 and sold it to a soldier stationed at Ft. Campbell, KY in around 1990. He maintained the truck himself and it never had any major problems.
