anyone know of any short bed unibodies for sale? im in the market for one. doesnt need to be flawless but im trying to find one thats not rotten all over.
finding a unibody is getting harder every year, I do know of a shortbox up here in Canada but I have known this old boy for 5 years and he just WILL NOT part with it.
it just sits there rotting and that is truly grinds my hide.
he knows it's worth something and I have asked for a price so I could save it.
but they are out there...happy hunting

ive been looking on craigslist, but people tend to want more than they should. i found one that i like, but the guy is at $3k and for it not being drivable and having a broken windshield im struggling with that price. its a v6 three on the tree original motor and trans, not rebuilt yet. typical rust in the cab. i think if it had the big back window ide pay that. but i feel like the $2k-2200 i offered is more fair.
idk, ill wait and see if he comes down any, but ive been trying to work with this guy for literally two months to come down and he wont budge. i might end up paying it because i want to get started on one SO BAD!!
I have a couple of shortbeds that have some rust. One is farm fresh with original engine. The other one doesnt have engine or tranny. I would sell either one if you want to come and look at them.
I could send you some pics if you want.
Thanks
sounds like some good leads,
if your looking to restore, it sounds like the "farm fresh" would make a nice choice.
of course I nice custom beauty starts without a drive train

clear titles? where in oklahoma? what year models? and do you have links to the trucks?
On the farm fresh one l have a title it hadnt been registured in years but l dont think it was ever notorized. My wife would be happy if l sold one of the trucks. I have way too many!
There's one for $1700. just went on yesterday 4/7/13 DFW Texas. actually in Dallas I believe.
no tailgate. 292 engine.. I was going to go look at 'cause I'm thinking about
installing a 292 in place of the 223, of which I have two rust damaged or wore out motors on hand

If one of the trucks near Norman doesn't work, I know where one sits in a driveway on flattening tires in Cherryvale, Kan. All I know is it's a unibody, it's white, and it looks like they've done a restoration -- or "restoration" -- on it at some time in the past.
I've thought of stopping to ask about it. I suspect it would be one of those that "isn't for sale," though they aren't doing anything with it, either.
