Driver side vent

The screws holding the vent cover are frozen .I have sprayed with auto trams fluid / acetone mix . It mounts emergency brake mount . Seems to be too much flex for a hand driven impact driver .
Should I go after the screws with a Dremel cut off or is there a better method ?

I got that but my thoughts are the rust that's holding you up may be visible from between the fender and cab .. after all that's where it gets it's fresh air from .. if you can squirt some buster up in there on the end of the bolts you may have a better chance at breaking them loose

On my '77 F100 the air vent gets fresh air from the cowl vent. Would think yours is the same. I have that whole thing in pieces now. Don't think there's any way to reach the screws from the back side. Not sure what you mean about the emergency brake being part of it. Maybe I'm missing something. You do mean the sliding vent on the kick panel?

I'd drill the screw heads off, then when you get the vent off you should be able to grab em with vice grips.

My mistake . Emergency brake pedal is in the way .i can't see how to access it except from the inside .I am going to try a Dremel on the inside . Leaves , debris , rust , and who knows what else I will find in there . I have two freshly painted fenders ,but I am not at that stage yet . It is a daily driver .

I removed the E-brake first for the room and then they came out easy. Mine was leaking air and i never used it anytime , so i made a cover for it to block it .
