new here from Canada.
Name is Phillip, live in Ontario just East of Toronto in Oshawa. I've been a welder for the past 13 years, but have done a bit of everything from working in auto repair, autobody work to a pizza delivery boy.
I'm driving a 2005 GMC Jimmy 2dr at the moment, bought it a year ago but not as family friendly as I thought it would have been.
I am in the process of buying a 2010 Escape XLT 4cyl.
I've done a little research before striking a deal, but if all goes well I'll have it early next week. I'm hoping the 4dr and the longer wheelbase will provide a lttle more room for the kids and dog.
I hope to call this forum my home away from home as I do with every vehicle I own. Comments on the Escape would be appreciated, good, bad or indifferent.

I made my first trip to Toronto a couple weeks ago. I was at a customer in Mississagua, just west of the city. Oshawa was on my itinerary (GM plant), but I didn't make it over there.
Mother-in-law bought a '12 Escape. I think it is a pretty nice ride. She has mood lighting in the footwells. Not sure if that is standard. Not sure why you would want it. But I digress...
I think you chose the right forum. I came here when I was looking to get back into a F250. Lurking in the shadows, I was able to pick up some valuable information, tips and tricks that helped guide me in my quest.
