Hi,
I hope someone can help me out.
'95 explorer, V6 4.0L Auto, 4x4
Last weekend I changed from regular engine oil (10-30) to Mobil1 synthetic oil (15-50). My engine has a lot of miles but I have never seen the engine check light come on untill now. Is this related to the oil change? How would I be able to detemine what caused that light to come on?
Any help would be very appreciated.
Thank you.
Most, if not all, '95's were still equipped with OBD-1, so you can pull the trouble codes with a jumper wire and a voltmeter/test light. The procedure can be found in the sample pages at www.dalidesign.com and other places on the net.
