hey guys its been a long winter.I have a 72 f100 style side with a 302 i am installing a three speed with a overdrive and getting rid of the coloum shift and putting a floor shift in. My question is what is the right hurst shifter to use and what stick is best for the bench seat.I should tell you that the transmission is a ford ( rug) code three speed with an overdrive. thanks.
This trans is a "weak sister" .. was installed after the 1st Arab Oil Embargo ended in an effort to improve MPG / One speed shift, you can kiss the little darlin' goodbye.
thanks for the info but the tranny i am using is not a rug sr od it is a three speed with an over drive tag # rug bp fg. If the tranny is that weak could you suggest another tranny i could use. I have 3.89 gears and need the overdrive i dont want my engine spinning at 3200 rpm at 60 mph its hard on the engine and mpg.

RUG-BP = SR-OD 4 Speed Overdrive from a 1978 Granada 250/302. Overdrive part of transmission.
1965/71 F100's were available with the Warner T-85N 3 speed with O/D. The O/D unit itself bolts to the back of the transmission.
