Need a new computer.

The only thing you'll have issues with is a code for the lack of intake air heater and associated controls.
Otherwise, you'll be just fine. The issues I mentioned only come about if you're running DPC-402 (such as XLE4) calibrations in a DPC-422 (like a PMT2) PCM.
I still don't understand the "more choices" part that people think exist. The E99 PCMs "tune" just like the later ones.

Do you have any IDM's?

The next question is whether you have a chip (not a flash programmer or "10K"-style module).
If you already have a chip for your current computer, I can sell you an XLE4 pretty cheap. This will allow you to just plug-and-play.
If you don't have a chip, you have the option of going to a 99.5-01 computer. It won't be as cheap (because they're a bit more desirable), but the base shifting strategy is much better and it's essentially a drop-in.
If you have a chip already for your XLE4 but want to go to a newer PCM, you'd have to get your chip reflashed to work correctly with the newer PCM....it will still run, but there are a few issues that arise.

You must have missed where I said this:
"Well, crud. I just went out to check my stock and found that I only have one XLE4 (I actually have two, but one was reflashed to a manual code) so I can't get rid of that one. I'm not sure where the other one went.....I KNOW I had three at one time......."
Sorry for the earlier confusion, but for the life of me I can't remember what I did with that other computer. I'm not going to sell the only one I have since the price on PCMs has followed the gold price as of late.

Do you know ANYBODY local to you that has a truck you can bogart the PCM from for a day or two? Honestly, the PCMs in these trucks rarely fail and I'm still not convinced that your problem lies within yours.
I'd sure hate to sell you something just to have you come back on here badmouthing me by saying that I sold you a bum PCM because your problem still exists. I am a very strong opponent to throwing parts at things hoping that a problem goes away, but I have nothing against trying out known good parts before purchasing anything...and wasting money on two shipping trips when you still have the problem after a PCM replacement.
