I was worried because I hadnt heard much about 4x4 access to this place, mostly just ATV and single track however I just uncovered this on VenturaNightOut.com

Ballinger and Deer Parkareas are geared toward OHV use. These areas provide 11 4WD roads, 12 ATV trails, and 14 motorcycle trails. Access to 4WD roads is available to both ATVs & M/Csplus access to ATV trails is available to motorcycles as well.

Wonder if it will be crowded when we are there? I am sure the motorcycles, and ATV's will out number us 4x4 peeps.

Trey, was passing by last week and took a peek.

Lots of trails; perfect for me and my scratch free truck!

Definitely worth a visit Trey. Not as big as Gorman, but plenty of trails to wander. Pretty drive up 33, still nice and green now. Was deserted on a Monday.

So lets start throwing around some days. Keep in mind the BBQ on the 1st and the F100 Western Nationals on the 22nd.

Do we want a weekend or a weekday?

Yeah, I know, was just pulling your leg. I have checked out their website, and the do have trails for full size 4x4's but the motorcycle and ATV trails far outnumber them. As for a day, it does not matter to me. I would imagine a weekday would be good for there would be less people there. However, since most people work during the week, a weekend may be more practical.

edit: I will most likely not get my settlement until the end of June (if I am indeed awarded a settlement) so if this has to be a June event, I may not be able to make it. The insurance job has fallen through as the state will not issue me a license. With the Bronco still needing a smog, I just don't see how I can fund this trip.
