I think what confused the bears is the fact that the dog was barking in French.

Stupid dog is lucky those bears took it easy when he got nailed twice with their paws. They were obviously not in kill/hurt/maim mode.

The flooding in SC has been in the news. We were lucky, all the standing water is outside of the structures, where it does little damage.

Cooper helped us assess the state of the property. Some depressions on the high ground were flooded, but the water was shallow:




In the low lying area, it was a few feet deep. He was swimming, I used the canoe to check the fence line to ensure it would still keep the critters contained. This is normally a pasture for horses.

 

That's good news SC Hoaty. I see all the water on the news.

 

We were fortunate, other, not so much.

What is sad is the number of folks they are finding who drowned in their cars. So avoidable. If you can't see the road, don't drive on it.

 

I couldn't agree with you more. We had an epic flood here in 2010. People lost homes that didn't even live near any major water. There was people walking out onto the major bridge over the Duck river with water up to the edges! I decided to turn around!
