Thanks... As much as I measured and planned things out, it still made me nervous drilling. Always does - you can't put it back once you take it out.

The LEDs are WICKED bright though - i'm going to hit them with a coat of tail light tint until they're just right.

Looks like you're headed in the right direction with your truck.

Looking forward to the outcome.

Gauges mounted last night, not hooked up yet unfortunately (too dark and cold and late). That's tonight's plan. Looks awesome so far though.

Front end looks super sharp & who doesn't love a nice clean switch panel (if my truck didn't come w/upfitter switches id have to do same thing again)

Thank you! I'm sort of **** about that. You should see my wiring - it's like artwork.

Take the time to do it right, or take the time to do it over. It's not mom's old Honda.

The front end LOOKED sharp until the CRAP ebay paint job on the grill started flaking off, exposing plastic chrome that wasn't even sanded... I'll have to strip that all down, sand it, and do it the right way. Not the end of the world though, i figured it'd probably happen eventually. I had never seen this grill anywhere before, nor anywhere since.

Craig, truck is coming along nicely! Are you going to go with custom tunes for the SCT?

Thanks Pat.

I think I'd like to - explain benefits. What do they actually improve on specifically, vs the preset tunes? Fuel curves?

I played with it a bit yesterday - set the performance one just out of curiosity for the drive home. Holy bat out of hell. I set it to 'Street' this morning. (Still haven't done the ARP and i'm paranoid about the stock bolts lol).

I can't tell you specifics, but the difference between a tune that comes on the sct and a custom tune is just night and day. I will never run the canned tunes again after getting a tune from gear head automotive

Not only can you get a ton more power, but they are set up better. My race tune is from Innovative Diesel. Gives me about 180 extra horse. She runs like a pissed off race horse on that tune! And, I get pretty good mileage out of it, better than stock. You'll be amazed at the different tunes you can get.

Wow... That's not bad at all! Correct me if I'm wrong though - they're still just "canned tunes" right? I mean, their own proprietary one, sure, but it's not like they have my truck on a Dyno, testing actual results right?

What do they do - take in all your mods and give you their best guess? Not like it should be difficult for me though - I'm more or less completely stock.

Looking into it now...

Well worth the money! I would certainly wait until you get the heads done, before stepping up to anything higher in hp.
