65-72 F-100 Ranger bucket seat brackets
#16
no, you are wrong.... the 65-66 brackets are $140.00 bucks now, a 15 dollar increase in price since i started making them a few years ago. i do my best to keep the cost affordable for a Awesome product, the brackets are laser cut and professionally bent to spec's using 3/16 plate steel. the first 67-72 brackets i had made were from a modified set of originals, thus they were not correct. i paid for them to be re-designed from the first 15 sets of brackets i had sold @ $160.00 bucks per set. I doubt anyone could make them for less keeping the quality the same as i provide.
In addition to the 65-66 brackets, i offer a pattern for you to make the fender badge's (with the correct font) and now have in the works the console and curtain brackets needed to build a clone ranger.
rcjm66, right now i am out of stock on the 65-66 brackets, will be a few weeks before i get more in. (that is if you want a set)
Area351, Good Luck with making your own.

It may be easier and cheaper for some, but not for me, I work at a machine shop and we have a laser, water jet, and a plasma cutter along with several CNC press brakes.
I was just wondering if it would be more cost effective to have someone else make them for me instead of programming and setting up the machines.

Just think what your machine shop would charge if somone came in to get them made, four brackets, no drawings and all four are different, then see if $175 is out of line in price.

In you case, where someone else supplies the drawings for free, you work where you can make them for free, Yes it is much cheaper.

There are only 2 drawings and they are free. It's no big deal to flip the part over and bend it the opposite way for the other side.
Any machine shop with a plasma cutter and press break can make them for a lot less. Especially if they are making multiple sets . The price goes way down.

Since were talking seats, what are some opinions on someone who is 6' 2" and needs lots of legroom. (bad knee). I have a 70 f100 and plan on removing tank to the rear. I was told a bench seat from a early 90's chevy would work? Any buckets better for more leg room?
Thanks
Jim
Thanks

Bucket seats will give you more leg room and head room at the same time if you keep them low to the floor.
I'm 6'2" as well and choose to install Passat seats in my truck. $60 for both.
They are leather, power adjustable and heated.
