ECU code Location on 2002?

ECU code Location on 2002?
I tried to pull the cover offf of the box by the emer brake cable which looks like the ecu box. It has 2 bolts and a plastic cover. I took the bolts out and tried to slide the cover forward and it does not want to come off. What am i doing wrong?

It was a while ago, but I think there was one bolt from the firewall holding the ecu to the harness. I think once that small bolt was removed it just came right out.

There are 3 10MM bolts on the drivers side of the firewall. They are aligned vertically. If you loosen the middle it allows you to slide the ECU and black harness back to get to the plastic cover. Hope it helps! Be patient as you slide it back. Just work w/ it. You'll have to loosen the 10mm bolt enough so it almost can slide out. I believe if u loosen all of them the ECU come out but I'm not totally sure on that one. I just loosen the middle one.

And don't forget about the single 10mm bolt holding the black metal bracket to the truck. Two bolts hold the plastic to the metal bracket and two hold the metal bracket to the truck. One at the very bottom of the black braket and the other one. Hope it helped!
