Ford VS Chevy Debate
I am a ford man myself, although there are certain chevys and mopars that I do like.
But as to two of the personal experiances that I have had
One: I owned a 1972 F100 2wd with a two barrel 302 dual exhuast it was all stock setup, and I drove a friends 1973 chevy 2wd with a 350 quadrajet dual exhuast both automatics.
The ford seemed to have more tourqe of the line and seemed to breath better at highway speeds than the chevy.
Two: Then I drove a friends 1986 F150 2wd auto with a FI 5.0 single exhuast, and a friends 1989 Z28 camaro with a FI350 and this truck seemed more powerful off the line just felt like more tourqe from less cubes.
Of course this all suprised me a little as trying to be non-biased in my opinions that these smaller motors had more of the seat of the pants type grunt, especially when you hear that stock chevy heads are supposed to flow better.
Like I said I prefer Fords and I cannot attest to the state of tune of these individuale vehicles except my truck the all seemed to be running well.
