E99 inertercooler question?
I just picked up an E99 all aluminum Intercooler, pipes and spider. I've read that the pipes wont work in our trucks?

They have to be modded to work in a obs

Hmmm. Ok thanks. I guess I'll just wait to install it till I order the Irate kit later this year.

What about the e99 intercooler needs to be modified to work on the OBS?

Not the IC. The pipes have to bee modded

Daniel, you can do it like my 'jerry rig' job. I ran it like this for years on the mule. In other words, I didn't mod my pipes, they are still like this:

Ya, I used a three inch pipe and tack welded a welding rod around the ends to keep the boots on. I used it inbetween the spyder and IC pipe and doubled booted it. Doesn't look very good but it works, LOL
