So now I'm a bit confused. Do people refer to the ICP as the high pressure oil sensor AS WELL AS the exhaust back pressure sensor? The EBP sensor is what I disconnected, for sure now that I'm looking at the different sensors. Also, the stupid little 'can' that has holes in it, just below the alternator on the driver's side (horrible description I know) is making more noise than I remember. I would say it's 'putt putting'. I can put my hand over it and cover all the holes and feel pressure, but not a ton of pressure, if this means anything whatsoever.

EBPV is in the back under the turbo area. I don't think that is what you disconnected.
The thing with holes up front is the vacuum pump and it operates the brake booster, the switches for your heater and a few other things I suppose. If you can switch between vent and defrost and the other settings and it moves along ok AND if you have good brake boost pressure, then I wouldn't worry much about it. It costs about $100 to replace and takes about 30 minutes unless you drop something or have trouble getting pulley off/on. More than likely you will feel it in your brakes and that will be the reason you decide to change it out. Until then, if it is just makin a little noise, I'd let it. Just my lazy/cheap .02 though

Actually the EBPV is in the back, BUT the EPVS (sensor) is in the front close to the HPOP in some models in front and other behind.
