Fuel Tank question

Wonder because I am shopping around for a new fuel tank, pump and whole 9 yards... up to what year would be compatible with my truck? I have an 81 F150 4x4.

I am just looking to replace and have the tank up front. (Because I have plans to buy the other later.)

I keep looking at the Spectra F6A but don't know if it is the one for my truck.

As long as the gal# is the same, i think it should fit atleast up to a 96 for sure.
Im scavenging a 96 now for my 86. Next thing i get is the front 16gal tank and filler neck.

1980-1984 uses one type of tank

1985-1986 uses another.

The differences are in the size of the hole for the sending unit. The 1985-1986 are larger diameter.
