Dual Wheel Adapters

Well, never had them myself, so I can't get too specific with problems, but first of all the rims have to be matched up and well balenced. Second, oyu have to have a strong axle (Dana 60 equivenent or higher) and the real advantages of a dually don't come in full with just the dual tires. We have a kit on one of the Chevys we use on the reservation, and it helps for traction, but the load capacity remains the same due to the stock springs. Another major disadvantage is that you must use fender flares to make the truck legal in WA at least. The kits are available from JC Whitney amoung other dealers, and cost from $80 to $150, depending on quality, rim choice, and axle.
