Need a little help

I have a 1979 F250 2wd and it used to belong to my grandfather who bought it new. Well I love the body style and the truck is in great shape. The only bad thing is I don't have a use for a 2wd. And I don't what to sale it. I would like to find a 4wd chassis to put the body on and maybe even put a diesel in it. So I'm asking for some help on what I can and can't do plus what would be the best. If you could help it would great and I thank you.

First what part of the country do you live in ? Locting the chasis close enough to home is going to cut down on costs substantially .. The diesel is a non starter depending on your budget and skill level .. Is this a daily driver?

Edit I see your in WV maybe this is not to far for you http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/cto/3586644227.html I have not seen it because it's to far for me but it looks like a good candidate for back here ..
