Please help towing!

Hi everybody,

I would very much appreciate your help.
I just purchased an older camper trailer that I would like to tow to my land and park it there as a camp site. This is a long distance towing (Orillia area to Kirkland Lake area , approx. 500 km).
Would you please help me to find a company or an individual who has the right truck to tow my trailer.
The trailer is 27' long, dual axel, all other informations will be given when requested.
Many thanks,

Frank

Welcome to FTE!

Look in the yellow pages of your phone book for companies that specialize in moving mobile homes. It shouldn't be too hard to find one. Mobile homes use the same type of hitch as a travel trailer. Good luck with the move.

Check at your local RV dealer. They move trailers all the time.

Thank you very much for your answers.
RV dealers and moving companies charge up to $3.00/km. This is a 500 km trip, so I'd have to find a different solution. Unfortunately, due to insurance policies, towing is not allowed with rented trucks. All these alternatives are out of question.
However, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I asked my mechanic today and he knows someone that would do the job for me. I'll contact the person tomorrow.
I'll let you know how it goes.
Many thanks again.
