Well its been awhile since i've had the chance to post on here. Things are coming along although the warm weather up here has slowed things down a bit.
I finally did enough work on the roof to be satisfied.
Thanks all its nice to be connected to people that appriciate these old trucks. Should have a painted cab within the next 2 or 3 weeks i know i already said that once but really this time i hope.
i too am in the mists of doing a frame up restoration on my 78 f250 xlt snowfighter.
slow going but its getting there. i'll do a build thread as i get closer to finishing so the thread doesn't die off. in the meantime I'm taking plenty of pictures because every body like truck ****. keep up the good work. yours is looking pretty good so far.
well I haven't been on here in ages. Huting season is a big factor But progress is still being made.
I wrapped up my steering by doing away with the drop drag link and building a 2 1/2 inch spacer under the steering arm on the front rear.
I then ran the motor to seat the cam and rings in and pulled it onto the trailor and hauled it out to my workplace. The truck sat in the parking lot until around Christmas time. In the last month I have been working on the doors. I got inner and outer lower patch panels for both doors and am sanding both doors bare with 80 grit due to the rust pitts throughout the entire doors. Will post more pics in the next few days.
