My vehicle info is below, when I am driving my truck I am getting a hesitation and transmission shutter following when under load between 2000-2500 rpm. I have replaced pcv, egr, egr pipe, plugs, a coil with a ripped boot, vacume tested lines, and seafoamed the gas yesterday. The only code I can throw is p0174. One last thing I just rebuilt my timming and inspected the heads and found not obvious problems with rockers, lifters etc... Anyone have this problem and have suggestions.
FWIW some users here might not have their display preferences set to show whatever vehicle info you refer to----might be better to always include that along with whatever problem or issue up for discussion.
As for your shudder could it be in the trans itself? Fluid up, changed with new filter on schedule? Do you have OBDI or OBDII?
Trans fluids are up, havent changed the transfluid/ filter since I bought the truck (two weeks ago) due to other issues I had to adress first. One thing I have noticed was that it dosent hesitate much if overdrive is OFF. I was hoping that was due to a suitable RPM range that worked better. As I have worked on engine issues it seems to get better. When a transmission blew in a '95 z28 (sorry to bring up the arch rival, the only v8 trans that blew on me) I had it was noticible that the trans was slipping, would this truck shutter if the transmission is going? One other thing, when I get on it (past 2500rpm) the truck shifts smooth, its only when I am cruising under low rpm with load (like up hill) that it shutter which was making me hope its a coil problem. Any insight especialy on this transmission would be awsome, as I fear its a transmission issue due to my budget and how much I have invested already to get this truck running smooth... Timing chain for one.
Well drove my truck with obd2 that gives total missfires and on a 20 min trip got 17. Just need my cel to turn on and should be qble to solve the problem. Im thinking coil.
