It's a 50 mile drive to a Ford shop, so I don't get it scanned very cheaply. I have another MLPS to try, but it's a bit ugly to climb under the truck these days. As long as it works good most days, I won't worry about it.
BTW, I just put the trans in it a month ago. The original one blew the forward clutch housing. I changed the filter and lube, and checked what I could inside, everything looked like new. Somewhat surprised to see there is no way to adjust the bands..........
If you have a more local chain store auto parts store....most will scan your codes for free. Maybe that will help you, maybe not??
Was this doing this before the recent tranny work?
Any town with a parts store has a Ford dealer too.
Was it doing this before the trans swap?...Well, the original trans only lasted a few weeks, so I don't know. It was the wrong weather to make it act up.
I put a whole transmission in it, electric controls and all. It was out of a smashed-up wreck, with less than half the miles that mine has on it.
