Hi! I'm in the process of putting the engine back in my brothers 1988 F-150 300 I-6 4speed 4wd. We decided to go with headers instead of stock manifolds. Thus the air tube that goes from the exhaust manifold to the egr valve doesn't want to fit right. What will happen if I leave it off? Also is there any way of bypassing the oxygen sensor???? The headers we have don't have taps welded into them and my welder is too hot to do it. There will be no cats, just 2 1/4" straight pipes. I don't have to worry about emissions or looking at check engine lights. The truck is mainly a beater.
Thanks in advance for all info!!
No oxy sensor results in a rich mixture, you can have a bung welded in for a small price at a muffler shop.
